WELCOME TO OUR 2018 SEASON
Our 2017 season was well received and well attended and we expect 2018 to be even better! We’re offering four shows instead of three and a number of new day trips to please every taste and pocket book. We’ve also developed two new overnight packages, featuring The Island Princess in Orillia and the Lady Muskoka in Bracebridge.
Besides being a convenient distance from major centres, Orillia has all the amenities and attractions you would expect from a first class getaway; be it for a daytrip, or an overnight stay. We have excellent accommodation, places to eat, a wonderful lake side park and a host of other attractions to compliment your trip to the theatre.
This year, we are also introducing an exciting new offer for the travel trade. Any company that books and successfully sells two or more trips to Orillia with the New Sunshine Festival, will get a 25% discount on the theatre ticket portion of their first booking. (A minimum of two of your bus bookings, each booking consisting of 30 or more persons must attend for the discount to apply).
We are in the business of presenting live theatre to the group travel trade, accompanied by companion activities that make your trip to Orillia an occasion to remember!

What the critics said about our 2017 Season. . .
DOG PARK JAMBOREE
“So last night I went to see another world premiere in the theatre (in Orillia this time) but it wasn’t “Cats” cuz it’s about DOGS. And so when the night before (in St. Catharines) I said, you should go see a show because of a butler, now I’m saying you need to go see a show because of an Irish Setter and St. Bernard and the Queen’s Corgis, a Bulldog, a Poodle, and an old Shepherd. Oh, my dog lover friends – head to Orillia for a new musical. I fogged up my glasses crying with laughter and weird sentimental stuff that musicals make me do (yes I cried in a musical about dogs). “A Dog Park Jamboree” (the witty book) by David Fanstone is a bacon treat and your favourite ball. I was so impressed by the score by the Birds of Bellwoods; they channeled everything you love in the traditional “musical” just like the performers channeled the dog breeds. The show is at The New Sunshine Festival which is inside the old Cinema 4 in Downtown Orillia, Ontario.”

THE NIGHT THE LIGHTS WENT OUT ON BROADWAY
“The Night The Lights Went Out on Broadway” is an event that actually occurred, presented as a tribute to Ethel Merman, one of Broadway’s brightest stars. On the night she died all the lights on Broadway Theatre Marquees were turned off in her honour. This delightful musical brings Ethel back to life to reminisce over her life, loves, & the music she made famous. The unforgettable Broadway show music will keep you humming long after you leave the theatre and the exceptional voices of this stellar cast make this clever & witty script come alive.”
